"I lost everything, including four of my grandchildren. My wife has undergone an operation ,and she is at the hospital.I do not have any money to look after her.If the government can do the same rehabilitation work in our area, as it is doing in the South,we will be happy" says 60 year old fisherman Mariyanthamby Nagaiyah in Ooriyankattu in Vaharai.
